Art is my sanctuary—a space where I’ve found healing, purpose, and a new beginning. My journey to becoming an artist wasn’t conventional. It was born from struggle, from breaking free of addiction. I sought help, stepped onto the path of recovery, and now, with almost twenty years of sobriety, I have transformed my life through creativity.
In early recovery, yoga became my refuge, and it was there that I met Liam Browne at ‘Yoga in the Park’ in Withington. As a brand designer and illustrator for over 30 years, I helped him shape the identity of BBC’s Dragons’ Den FULL POWER CACAO, bringing the Jaguar Tikiara to life. Later, he asked me to design the cover for one of his books. In that moment—channelling his vision onto the page—I unexpectedly rediscovered my own.
Beyond my personal practice, I am passionate about empowering the next generation of artists. I have developed courses and workshops(link here)for pupils and teachers in the education sector, making digital design accessible and inspiring for young creatives. But my journey doesn’t stop there. I am now evolving my work, blending digital techniques with traditional mediums—acrylics, oils, spray paint, stencils, gold leaf—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
The mission? To ‘Follow My Art’—to create, to exhibit, and to help others follow theirs. I’m doing so by delivering courses and workshops to build a community and help guide emerging artists in finding their own creative voice.
Every piece I create is part of my story. Each stroke, each colour, each texture carries the energy of transformation. I invite you to explore my work, to connect with it, and perhaps, to take a piece of that journey home with you.
